About Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) 2021 Bursary:
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is owned by the Sout African government and is under the supervision of the Economic Development Department. It is a national development finance institution, which provides youth enterprises, who are undertaking industrial development projects, with financial and non-financial support.

What the bursary covers:
- Tuition
- Prescribed books
- Accommodation
- Laptop
- An allowance.
Once the bursary benefactor has graduated, they will be required to work for the number of years that they were funded for.
Minimum requirements:
- South African citizen
- Residing in South Africa
- Under 25 years of age
- Completed Grade 12 or currently in Grade 12
- Studying or intend on studying full time
- Studying or intend on studying at a public University/ University of Technology/ TVET College
- Achieved a minimum of 70% for Mathematics and Science in Grade 12
- Must be a current receipt of any other funding from a bursary or employer
- Proven financial need – based on total household income
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- Students living in rural communities will be given preference
