FIVE (05) MONTHS INTERNSHIPS WITH LIVHUWANI MATSILA AND ASSOCIATES IN NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT – A GROEN SEBENZA INITIATIVE.
Groen Sebenza is a capacity building program funded by the Department of Environmental Affairs at developing priority skills in the Natural Resource Management sector to help create sustainable employment and business opportunities for the sector. Groen (in Afrikaans meaning green) Sebenza (meaning work in isiZulu) brings young South Africans from previously disadvantaged backgrounds together with experienced natural resource management to embark on rewarding and meaningful natural resources management or related careers.
The Livhuwani Matsila and Associates is pleased to announce a call for applications for internships in the following categories:
8 X MASTERS INTERNS @ R8392.00 PER MONTH
24 X GRADUATE INTERNS @ R5245.00 PER MONTH
11 X MATRIC INTERNS @ R3672.00 PER MONTH
purpose: The successful applicants will be placed in designated Traditional Councils in the Vhembe Region of Limpopo where they will be responsible for advocacy and awareness, data collection, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on activities that impact positively and negatively on natural resources such as domestic waste, bush encroachment, soil erosion, agriculture, rural development, social development, education, water management, general livelihoods and associated economic activities.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Matric, Diploma, Degree, Honours Degree or master’s in science (Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Biochemistry, and related disciplines), Environmental Science or Management or Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Rural Development, Local Government and related fields.
