About the Citi South Africa Graduate Programme
Citi South Africa is offering a year-long Graduate Learnership Programme aimed at newly qualified university graduates interested in building a career within the finance sector.
The programme provides practical work experience, exposure to international finance operations, and professional development opportunities within a global financial institution.
Successful graduates will gain hands-on experience across different finance disciplines while working alongside teams in South Africa and internationally.
Areas of Exposure
Graduates will gain exposure in the following finance disciplines:
- Controller functions
- Treasury
- Tax
- Balance Sheet Substantiation
- Financial Planning and Analysis
Participants will also work on:
- Local Regulatory Reporting to the Prudential Authority and Johannesburg Stock Exchange
- Internal reporting and management packs
- Income tax and VAT reporting
- Forecasting and analytical insight
- Capital and liquidity planning
- US reporting support
- Financial controls and quality checks
- Business stakeholder support
- Data quality improvement projects
- Cross-functional teamwork
- Collaboration with teams in Budapest, India, Poland, and Dubai
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Undergraduate degree with a GPA of 65% or above OR a Master’s degree
- BCom Accounting or Business Science qualifications are preferred
- Maximum of 1 year work experience
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
