Job Description

Icebolethu Group is recruiting 4 Security Officers in Rustenburg. The positions require candidates with Grade 12 / Matric, valid PSIRA registration and at least 2 years of experience as a Security Guard or Security Officer.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
  • Valid PSIRA registration/certification
  • Practical experience operating CCTV surveillance systems
  • Experience using security communication equipment
  • Physical health and fitness
  • Certification in Self-Defense
  • First Aid / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong observation skills
  • Knowledge of security and public-safety protocols
  • Report-writing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Recent, contactable employment references
  • Must reside in or around Rustenburg

A valid Firearm Competency for Handgun, Shotgun or Rifle and Advanced/Defensive Driving skills are highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

  • Monitor and authorise entry and exit of visitors and vehicles
  • Conduct regular foot patrols
  • Secure exits, doors and windows after operations
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance systems
  • Identify security breaches and suspicious activities
  • Respond to alarms and security incidents
  • Investigate suspicious individuals and activities
  • Assist people in distress
  • Remove trespassers from the premises
  • Detain perpetrators in accordance with legal protocols until law enforcement arrives
  • Maintain daily surveillance logs
  • Record security occurrences
  • Prepare accurate incident reports
